Cape Leeuwin Gallery

Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse has been watching over Western Australia’s dangerous Southwest coast for almost 130 years. It continues to function as a lighthouse today and is essential for the safety and navigation of maritime vessels.

Located in the farthest southwest corner of the continent, Cape Leeuwin commands a commanding view of the meeting point of the powerful Indian and Southern Oceans.

At 39 meters high, it is the tallest lighthouse on the mainland of Australia. It is now open to the public. This stunning lighthouse is situated on the headland at Cape Leeuwin, a mere 9km from Augusta. It’s the ideal location to witness the sea’s amazing power, and if you’re fortunate, you might even see groups of whales or dolphins.
