We are residing in an extremely hazardous and changing world. A world where being fearful is ever-increasing, where we fear for losing our jobs, our families, our homes, and even our lives. Wars are a constant threat to all of us, as countries want to take over other countries for a variety of reasons. Hatred for neighbours is an ever-increasing problem, especially in the Middle East.
The governments around the world are all trying to find more ways to control their populations with surveillance cameras covering almost all of our cities. They also want to do away with cash so they can monitor and control how we spend our money. The United Nations is helping to make us fearful.
We are going through a pandemic with the COVID-19 virus. Our communities and families are being divided, and we do not know where these changes will lead.
Do not be Fearful
Governments are restricting people and causing worry as they try to control the population. Workers are being forced to get the COVID-19 vaccine or risk losing their jobs, homes, families, and friends. Everyone feels fear for their families’ futures. To worry about your future and the future of your family is understandable. We should be concerned and try to help them achieve the best outcome for them in all areas of their lives.
But if a Christian will not stand up for his religious convictions, this is a sin against God. This is being fearful. It is, in fact, a great sin against God, as I will now explain to you. When you listen to Rev 21:7-8, you will hear being fearful is the first one listed before other sins, sins which we may regard as greater offences to God. Read this passage of scripture from.
Rev 21:7, He that overcometh shall inherit all things;1 and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
Rev 21:8, But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
