The law of Moses was established for the Jewish nation and remained in force until Jesus died on the cross. At his death the new law of Christ came into effect, and this is the law Christians are meant to keep today. We obviously cannot keep both, Therefore choose very carefully who you will listen to. I have a thought to add, but I cannot prove it. It is worth mentioning here. Why would God complicate the birth of his son by using a previously married man to be the legal father of our Lord? My thoughts on this matter are that Joseph would have also been a virgin to keep the marriage bed pure and undefiled. God would have handpicked Joseph to be the legal father of Jesus.
